Responsibilities

 

  • Support clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and safety throughout each activity.
  • Assist with mobility needs, including transfers, repositioning, and safe ambulation within the home environment.
  • Provide medication reminders consistent with prescribed schedules and document adherence when required.
  • Plan and prepare balanced and nutritious meals while accommodating dietary restrictions, allergies, and personal preferences.
  • Monitor and document changes in the client’s physical, emotional, or behavioral condition, reporting concerns promptly to supervisors, healthcare providers, or family members.
  • Facilitate transportation for clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, shopping trips, social outings, and other essential errands.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, family members, supervisors, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Uphold the client’s dignity and privacy at all times, demonstrating compassion, patience, and respect while delivering person-centered care.
Qualifications
  • 1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2. Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is often preferred.
  • 3. Training in CPR and basic first aid may be required.
  • 4. Compassion, empathy, and patience are essential qualities.
  • 5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Working conditions
