The Direct Service Provider plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs, including those with disabilities and memory-related challenges. Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring individuals safely.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality and privacy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must identify as male (due to client-specific support needs)
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Strong background in patient care, particularly in assisted living or home/community-based settings
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or memory care needs is highly desirable
- Ability to safely assist with lifting or transfers while maintaining client comfort and dignity
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent observation skills to identify changes in client condition
- Effective, compassionate communication that builds trust and rapport
- Knowledge of social work principles and a proactive, adaptive approach to client-centered care
